Erasmus+ Coding4Girls project multiplier event

The Coding4Girls Erasmus+ multiplier event was organized on October 15, 2020 by the Regional Center for Educational Design, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly (TEMY), and spec ifically the Creative Technologies Learning Lab (CTLL, http://ctll.e-ce.uth.gr), and the Hellenic Mathematical Society, Magnesia Annex.
The event focused on the benefits of programming towards developing problem-solving, critical, innovative, and structured thinking skills particularly when combined with STEM activities. The event noted the need for the equal participation of boys and girls in science and technology careers so that society may exploit the full potential of intellectual capital towards addressing the significant challenges of the 21st century. Finally, the audience had the opportunity to follow a demonstration of digital learning tools developed in the context of the Coding4Girls project with the objective of building programming knowledge and analytical thinking skills.
The Coding4Girls (http://coding4girls.eu) research project is funded by the European Commission's Erasmus+ programme and is implemented from 2018 to 2020. In addition to the Creative Technologies Learning Lab organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal, Turkey, and Bulgaria participate in the project.
